  • Electimuss
Derived from the Latin word meaning 'to choose the best', Electimuss takes inspiration from modern perfume in ancient Rome. The word perfume is derived from the Latin 'perfumas' meaning 'through smoke' and it was the Romans that refined the art of perfume making, using rare and exotic ingredients from across their vast empire. To the average Roman man and woman, perfume was a necessity not a luxury. Men associated scent with health and bathed in perfumes, perfumed their clothes and even their horses while gladiators applied perfumed lotions before they fought. Wealthy women benefitted from handmaidens, ‘Cosmetae’, much prized for their skills, who attended their mistresses and would pour treasured oils into the bath and onto the skin.Perfume became a phenomenon as the wealthy and stylish bid to trump their friends and neighbours with more and more complex, costly and rare ingredients and it is estimated that by the first century AD Roman Society was consuming 2500 tons of Frankincense and 500 tons of Myrrh. At Electimuss, fragrance is embraced as an indispensable part of grooming and ingredients, as the name implies, are selected from rarest and finest oils and resins from around the world including truffle, caviar, saffron, lotus flower, Mysore sandalwood and oud. Intensity is a key component of the Electimuss collection and ‘Electimuss Pure Perfume’ is a staggeringly indulgent 30% concentration, the most intoxicating way of experiencing luxury fine fragrance. Finally, each bottle bears the ‘Vertragus’, ancestor of the modern greyhound “swifter than thought or a winged bird it runs” (Grattius) - the perfect olfactory metaphor.

  • Milano Cento

Milano Cento, inspired by the classic sophistication of all things Italian and aimed at those who want something more unusual and understated. This classic, aromatic men’s fragrance - with its twist on the traditional citrus, herbaceous and woody style has established its own niche following amongst those who desire something that bit different, and who are prepared to seek it out.

The bottle has angular, clean lines; a smart Italian gunmetal cap strikes just the right contemporary look against the updated carton, and logo.

    Fragrance Description

Inspired by the wonderfully diverse, aromatic plants of Italy, Milano Cento Him opens with zesty, sparkling notes of lemon, bergamot and petitgrain. Herbaceous notes of lavender and rosemary combine with intensity of basil and clary sage, to be followed by rich, sensual sandalwood and patchouli. Spicy clove, cinnamon, amber and warm musks live in the memory and in the heart.

  • Mitchell and Peach -...

    The Heritage

The Mitchells have been farming the same land in Kent, England, for five generations. The family has cultivated everything from strawberries and apples to hops and cobnuts.

From 1923 to 1972, the Mitchells ran a thriving market stand on the south-west corner of old Covent Garden in London. In 2009 the family celebrated 100 years at Foxbury Farm, which remains the centre of the estate to this day.

    The Family Today

Continuing in the family’s tradition, Ian and Jod Mitchell planted fine lavender on the estate. The quality of the essences distilled from the plantation inspired them to create a bath and body range of uncompromising quality. Mitchell and Peach was born.

All Mitchell and Peach products are hand-blended in England using the finest natural ingredients, including matured essential oils from the family’s fields and honey collected from hives on the estate.

“I know what I am about to face: Death, blood, battle await me. But freedom is worth all this, I am nothing more than a slave, but I shall earn my new life. I will turn the tension that paralyses me into strength”.

"Rudis" represented both the beginning and the ultimate goal of the life and career of a gladiator. It was a tool, but also a symbol, it did not harm, but offered relief.

The scent inspired by this object, therefore, had to simultaneously consider strength and gentleness, battle and freedom, life and death, virility and weakness.

The representation of the sword’s wood was then countered by an accord between leather, and  rose with geranium which combined evokes metallic helmet. However, the scent had to represent this man who, contemptuous of danger, sets out to regain his life, crossing the threshold of the arena. The gladiator would drink himself into a stupor before a fight, with wine made from grape juice and fermented fruit, which we found again in this perfume with marc note, blended with bergamot, dried fruits and fruity notes to deliver courage. Saffron gives personality to the heart, cedarwood makes it precious, clovesput something more in the mix. The final patchouly seals the masculinity of a exhausted gladiator, employing its last efforces to win. Vetiver and helicrysium makes the victory reachable, like a musky and incense-smell dream.
